The REAL reason why Van Halen isn't touring this summer...

In case you don't know, the business management/accounting firm I work for represents David Lee Roth, former lead singer of Van Halen. In fact, I am his bookkeeper. So in recent weeks, the confirmation and then obliteration of the Van Halen 2007 tour has been pretty much all we've been talking about.

The theories on why the tour fell apart have been all over the map. Some say that Dave and Eddie got in a fight, others blame Sammy Hagar. Still more blame the replacement of original bass player Michael Anthony with Eddie's teenage son Wolfgang.

We can now see, and based on reports all over the web, it is due to the fact that Eddie has once again "hit rock bottom" and is going back to rehab again.

But he's dedicated to cleaning up and getting the tour back on track.

So we'll see what happens....

Okay, so I have to gloat a little...

This past weekend, John and I went shopping at Hollywood and Highland
because we had been wanting to hit up Express, and the one at H&H is
without a doubt the biggest and best one we have been to. I tend to get
a little discouraged at Express and never seem to find anything that
fits me well as the sizes tend to run small...

But last weekend was a big boost to my self-confidence! Not only did I
find TWO tops that I liked, but the larges were TOO BIG!!!! I am now in
possession of two tops that are sized MEDIUM! My first (but hopefully
not the last!) in many many years!

Thank God watching what I eat and working out on a semi-regular basis is
FINALLY starting to show some effects!!!

I feel so LA....

Nice Weekend...

After more shopping on Saturday morning, John and I opted for a "date night" on with a stroll to the Cat and Fiddle, and then on to the Arclight for a showing of Zodiac.

Obviously I had high hopes for the movie, because of Robert Downey Jr., and the movie did not disappoint! The two hours and forty minutes(!) goes by without dragging on, and everyone gave fantastic performances! It is a very compelling story, and I highly recommend it!

We had to follow it up with a repeat viewing of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang for some more RDJ action, and if you haven't seen THAT yet, you must rent it now!
