A Great Weekend!

John and I have finally started to figure out how to use our weekends more effectively! It only took us over a month to have a productive weekend.

On Saturday we got up early and went and got our hair cut! They turned out really good, and I'm very happy with it! Afterwards, we headed out to Santa Monica and strolled up and down the Third Street Promenade. It was a beautiful day, although the shopping was not very successful. After shopping we went home and took a brief nap, and then got up and went out to see "V for Vendetta" at the Arclight! The movie was cool, I was pleasantly surprised! I really had no idea what to expect and I was happy that we had gone to see it! After that we grabbed a quick dinner and relaxed the rest of the night.

Sunday we got up a little later, but still earlyish. After some much needed coffee, we hit up the Glendale Galleria - normally our one of our most detested malls due to crowds - and to our surprise, the mall was empty! We hit up the Macys and bought John a snazzy Calvin Klein pinstrip suit and quickly the mall became thronged with people as per usual.... So we fled and then headed over to Birds for some lunch. Damn good chicken.

So it seemed less painful to go to work this morning, cuz we had such a great weekend!

Time for an Update!

It's been a long time, I know, since I have updated. That has probably disappointed about three people (Amanda, Dad, John, thanks for reading!) I thought I would have time at my new job to sit around and sirf the net and blog blog blog! But actually, they are teaching me new things every day, and I have been busy enough to fill my days!

Things have been pretty much business as usual around here. The job is still great, now that I am getting to know everyone better and I have a better grasp of how to do my job well. I've actually spoken to Rpbert Downey Jr on the phone a few times, and Richard Karn (Al from Home Improvement) Dana Gould (stand-up comedian/writer for the the Simpsons) and Ken Jenkins (Dr. Kelso from Scrubs) have all been into the office!

I couldn't be happier that I am no longer in retail!

Other than that, there's not much to report. It's Friday, and that means freedom.

I will update more often, I promise!

Three Weeks....

I'm approaching the end of my third week here at the new job and I think I am finally getting the hang of it. I no longer cringe when the phone rings, and I have pretty much mastered all of the tasks they have given me! Plus, with only 8 employees in the whole company (myself included) I have gotten to know everyone enough to ease the normal new job discomfort of not knowing anyone.

So all in all, a very positive change. Driving in rush hour traffic kinda sucks, but I only have to go three miles. My only problem is I'm having trouble coming up with things to do to fill the evenings and weekends that I am now available to enjoy!
